Mia Khalifa Live-Posts Election Night: ‘Holy Shit Texas Flipped’

Mia Khalifa Live-Posts Election Night: ‘Holy Shit Texas Flipped’

Contains adult themes: this story is about an adult performer. Nothing explicit is described.

In brief: On Election Night, Nov. 3, former performer and creator Mia Khalifa posted a running commentary on X, from “pretty blue south of that mason dixon line” to “holy shit Texas flipped.” The Associated Press reported that Democrat James Talarico won Texas’s U.S. Senate race. Her posts are her reactions, not results.

Networks spent Election Night with maps, models and decision desks. Mia Khalifa had an X account and three posts.

At 8:12 p.m. Mountain on Nov. 3, she wrote: “It’s looking pretty blue south of that mason dixon line.” She did not say which races or states she meant, and that read was her impression of the night, not a tally.

The foie gras question

Twenty-five minutes later came the second post: “idc about my reproductive rights, what are the foie gras numbers ?????”

That is the whole post, five question marks included. She did not explain it, and we won’t try to. Readers can decide for themselves what the foie gras numbers are.

‘Texas flipped’

At 9:04 p.m. Mountain, she posted: “holy shit Texas flipped.”

Her post didn’t name a race. The Associated Press reported Tuesday night that Democrat James Talarico defeated Republican Ken Paxton for a U.S. Senate seat in Texas, which the AP called the party’s first statewide victory there in more than 30 years. That result is the AP’s reporting; Khalifa’s post is her reaction.

Off the clock

Her feed in the week before was less about ballots and more about crowds. On Oct. 26 she posted a photo with a fellow fan: “me and this guy finding each other in the Turnstile crowd in DC 🇮🇪.”

This site has covered her before for a daily question, “Have you uplifted Thoom today?”, and for mistaking a 1956 photo of Fidel Castro and Che Guevara for Josh Hartnett in Pearl Harbor. Her election-night style was similar: short, lowercase where it suited her, and not waiting for anyone else’s take.

She was not the only adult-industry name posting politics on Nov. 3. Earlier in the evening, Brandi Love urged followers to vote Republican.
