OnlyFans Paid a Paralympian $25,000 to Keep It Wholesome. Her Racy Content: ‘Power Cleans in a Sports Bra’

In brief: Paralympic sprinter and long jumper Catarina Guimaraes, 22, told NJ.com on Oct. 13 that OnlyFans offered her $25,000 for a year of safe-for-work posts to help fund her run at LA 2028, and that she turned down $15,000 from someone who wanted a “sexy video call.”

OnlyFans has spent years trying to convince people it isn’t only what they think it is. Its latest spokesperson does power cleans.

Catarina Guimaraes, 22, competed for Team USA as a runner and long jumper at the 2024 Paralympics in Paris and is training for Los Angeles 2028. She has bills, including medical expenses related to her cerebral palsy. So when OnlyFans reached out and offered $25,000 for the year to post photos and videos, she said yes, NJ.com’s Steve Politi reported Oct. 13.

‘It isn’t anything racy’

The deal, as she described it to NJ.com: “They basically offered to compensate me for posts on their platform and on my platform about them to bring a more wholesome view of their page,” she said. Then the punchline:

It isn’t anything racy, unless you want to count a video of me doing power cleans in a sports bra and shorts as racy.

For $10, a fan gets videos of her singing songs from Hamilton, doing pull-ups, drinking a protein shake and, in one clip from her car, admitting she is “realizing that life is a lot.” NJ.com calls the page 100% safe for work, and she plans to keep it that way.

An OnlyFans spokesman told NJ.com the platform “loves working with athlete creators who are excited about using the platform to connect with their audience while building a new revenue stream through their content.” According to NJ.com, about 285 athletes are listed at OnlyFans/sports.

The $15,000 offer she passed on

Not everyone got the memo. She told NJ.com she was “baffled” and “flabbergasted” when someone offered her $15,000 for a “sexy video call.”

“All my teammates were like, ‘You should totally take him up on it,’” she said. “I was like, ‘Nooooo, that is not what I’m about.’ But it was crazy. I did not realize people would offer that much money for that stuff.”

The irony runs the other way, too. Instagram, where she has about 78,000 followers, has limited the reach of her posts because of the OnlyFans link, which it said “violates community standards,” NJ.com reported. Instagram isn’t paying her anything.

Her father, John Guimaraes, summed up the business plan: “When she wakes up, she shouldn’t be thinking, ‘Do I have enough gas money to get to the training center?’ It should be her training.”

Guimaraes, from Cranford, N.J., describes cerebral palsy as “having bad WiFi in your brain.” NJ.com reports she was the first NCAA Division I athlete with cerebral palsy when she signed with High Point University. In Paris she finished eighth in the women’s T38 long jump, per USA Para Track & Field. She now trains in Chula Vista, Calif., is preparing for the IFCPF Cerebral Palsy World Cup this month and is taking online master’s classes in kinesiology from LSU. All quotes are from NJ.com.

So the most scandalous thing on her OnlyFans, by her own account, is a set of power cleans. The only platform that treated it as a problem is the one that doesn’t pay her.
