Some people date. Some people play Fortnite. On the internet, those two facts are sometimes treated as the same thing.
In “IShowSpeed and one stream equals DATING apparently,” a clip the 2 Goons channel posted Oct. 4, the hosts asked Strawberry Tabby whether she had been dating the streamer. Her answer (0:01):
I never dated IShowSpeed.
Twitch, Fortnite, Discord anxiety
She said she did not know why people claimed they had dated. The first meeting, by her account, was online: “He found me on Twitch. I was playing Fortnite. He wanted to collab with me on Fortnite.”
That session, she said, went sideways. Another big streamer, whom she named Ronaldo, was “being really mean, saying I was stupid,” and she “didn’t know how to do Discord at the time too well.” Chat piled on. Speed, she said, eventually kicked her from the stream:
and then Speed was like, “You know what? I’m kicking her out.” And then I started crying and everybody in the chat was like, “See, women are dumb.” I just started yelling at the camera.
One house stream, then the rumor
Asked whether they met in person after that, she said yes, “months after.” Speed invited her to his house for a Twitch stream. “So then the rumor came up from that,” a host said. “Yes,” she answered.
Tabby also appeared with DJ Sakura on 2 Goons episode #131 (Oct. 1), named in the Apple Podcasts listing. Public Fortnite collaboration clips of Tabby and IShowSpeed circulate on YouTube and elsewhere; those corroborate that they streamed together, not that they dated. The dating claim is internet rumor. So: one collab, one cry, one house stream, zero relationship. The internet, as usual, did the rest of the casting.
