In brief: On Nov. 4, John Ahlstedt, who competed as Mister Kansas at Mister USA 2026 and went viral for his American-flag Speedo, announced on Instagram that he has started an OnlyFans account called Happy Times After Hours, Attitude reported. He said his regular posts about politics and human rights will continue.
Some people spend election night refreshing the results. John Ahlstedt spent it opening a new business. “Well, I finally fucking did it, guys,” he announced on Instagram on Nov. 4, as quoted by Attitude. “And yes, it is probably what some of you have been asking me about for quite some time.”
The account is called Happy Times After Hours. According to Attitude, he said it would show a more “playful” side of himself now that he feels comfortable in his own skin, and that everything he shares will be on his own terms. “I do intend on keeping it like that,” he said, as quoted by Attitude.

The Speedo that started it
Ahlstedt placed fifth at Mister USA 2026 in Las Vegas and earned the title Mister Culture Universal, Attitude reported in September. His swimsuit-round walk in a tight, flag-themed Speedo, while most rivals wore swim shorts, made him an unexpected star online. The Pink Times reported he describes himself as a native Kansan, husband and father, and that he says he has struggled with anxiety and body dysmorphia, which made the Speedo a test of confidence.
He had also built a following as a vocal advocate for LGBTQ+ people, especially trans people. That part, he says, is not changing. “I’m still gonna be right here talking about politics, human rights, and the things that matter most to me,” he said, as quoted by Attitude. “This is just simply something extra I decided to try, and I am actually excited to see where it goes.”
The timing
The announcement landed the day after the Nov. 3 midterm elections. One commenter under his post, quoted by Attitude, noticed: “A big win on election night.”
So, to recap: same advocacy, same Instagram, plus a side project with a name that sounds like a happy hour. Ahlstedt has said where the line is, and it is his to draw.
