Carmela Clutch went back to the East Coast, and back to the same booth crew. The Miami performer was booked for Alexis Texas’ Team Texass booth at EXXXOTICA New Jersey, which ran Friday, Oct. 23, through Sunday, Oct. 25, at the New Jersey Convention & Exposition Center in Edison, Fleshbot reported on Oct. 12.
The plan for the weekend was meet-and-greets, autographs and photos, and she said she was bringing limited-edition merch.

Her path to the booth started with a résumé. Fleshbot says Clutch earned a college degree in marketing and advertising with honors, then decided a traditional corporate career wasn’t for her. The Afro-Latina performer has since picked up several Urban X Awards nominations, including Female Creator of the Year.
Off camera, she lists painting, sketching, journaling, gardening, reading, yoga, weight training and singing as hobbies, and Fleshbot says fans like her “self-described nerdy side.” Before the convention, Fleshbot said, she had a New York City media tour lined up for the week of Oct. 19.
Why it matters: Exxxotica New Jersey is one of the busiest fan weekends on the East Coast, and booth crews like Team Texass are how creators get face time with buyers. Our read: a marketing degree comes in handy when the product is you.
