In brief: Former Cancer Researcher Maddie Wren Lands Two Monthly Titles in About a Week.
Maddie Wren spent about a year in the industry before landing what she calls her first industry title. Another one showed up about a week later.
an amazing day with @isiahmaxwell & @newsensations ♥️
Wren has been named Porn Crush’s “Crush of the Month,” with a profile by writer-photographer Gustavo Turner under the headline “Maddie Wren, the Girl Next Door Who Will Ruin Your Life (And You’ll Thank Her).” Her publicist’s release, published on ASNHub on Oct. 1, bills it as Porn Crush’s October honor.
Wren sounded genuinely chuffed:
“I’m honored to be the Crush of the Month and to have my first industry title. I really enjoyed the interview and photo shoot with Gustavo. Thank you so much, Austin and Gustavo! I hope my fans enjoy it.”
The backstory is the hook. Per the release, she was working in corporate scientific research while in grad school when she decided to go pro after building a following on FetLife. Its bio goes further: cancer research in academia and biotech, a master’s from Stanford, and an early alias, “Bratty Maddie,” used while she posted faceless. The Porn Crush piece also covers her friendship with Iris Leon, which the release says “changed her life,” and an upcoming trip to Venus Berlin.
Then came the encore. On Oct. 9, XBIZ reported that Bang.com named her its Babe of the Month for October, with a new scene opposite Zac Wild. “October is off to an incredible start, and I don’t want the month to end,” she said.
She’s also staying busy on the release calendar: PVM Chicago reported on Oct. 5 that Wren and Ariel Demure are the cover stars of Evil Angel’s “Trans-Active #37,” directed by Joey Silvera.
Why it matters, in our read: monthly honors are how the trade press flags who’s breaking out, and stacking two back to back is a signal. Our take: the “research scientist turned performer” arc gives editors an easy story to tell, but the busy release schedule suggests studios are booking her for more than the bio.
One small note for her fans: the PR bio says she paints, draws and once had her art shown in a gallery. Somebody should commission a portrait for the trophy shelf.
