She posted it Thursday night, Oct. 8, with a woozy-face emoji, which suggests the joke was intentional. Either way, Freddy wasn’t going to appear.
Freddy Krueger is the villain of A Nightmare on Elm Street (1984). Friday the 13th belongs to Jason Voorhees (and, in the 1980 original, his mother). The two franchises did meet once, in 2003’s Freddy vs. Jason, so if she had picked that movie, she would have been right.
Friday the 13th has never had Freddy Krueger in it. If she keeps waiting through the sequels, the best she’ll get is the 2003 crossover.
