Contains adult themes: this story is about an adult-video performer’s career news. Nothing explicit is described.
In brief: Japanese adult-video performer Mei Washio posted on X that she will leave her current agency after a job on Nov. 19, and that she will share what comes next herself once it is decided. She did not say she is retiring. The post passed 2.6 million views in about a day.
Some career announcements arrive with a press release, a lawyer and a carefully worded statement. Mei Washio’s arrived in four short lines, a smiley and a magic wand. The S1 exclusive posted on X on the morning of Nov. 1, Japan time (the evening of Oct. 31 in the U.S.):
19日のお仕事を最後に
いまの事務所を辞めます☺︎
今後については決まり次第
鷲尾からお伝えします🪄
In English: “After my job on the 19th, I’m leaving my current agency. As for what comes next, I’ll tell you myself once it’s decided.” She refers to herself as “Washio” in the third person, and closes with a sparkle-shooting wand for good measure.

The post had been viewed more than 2.6 million times, liked more than 21,000 times and bookmarked more than 3,800 times when Channel 304 checked it on Nov. 1. It showed zero replies, which may be the most effective way yet devised to keep 2.6 million people from asking “so what is it?”
Japanese industry site av-jouhoukan, in its Nov. 2 news roundup, read the post the same careful way: she announced on her own X account that she is leaving her agency after the Nov. 19 job, it noted, adding that she “did not write” anything about retiring (“引退とは書いておらず”) and that she will deliver the next news herself.
That clarification has some history. In an Oct. 13 report, av-jouhoukan said her name no longer appeared on her agency’s official “model list,” which it said had shown her second among 17 names in an archived copy from May 2, 2026. The site stressed then that there had been no retirement announcement, and that her S1 release SNOS-436 remained listed on S1’s official site and FANZA for Oct. 23. Two and a half weeks later, the person who gets to explain the missing name has now done so, briefly.
What happens after Nov. 19 is, by her own account, not decided yet, and Channel 304 is not going to guess. Washio debuted with S1 in 2019; her agency profile lists her age as 28.
For now the facts are these: one more job on the 19th, one agency exit, and one promise that the next update comes from Washio herself. The wand suggests she is not dreading it.
