Gay porn’s biggest night has its emcees. AVN Media Network announced on Oct. 15 that Beau Butler and Tate Hoskins will co-host the 2027 GayVN Awards with stand-up comedian Colton Dowling, AVN reported. The show is set for Jan. 21 at Virgin Hotels Las Vegas.
For Butler, an eight-time GayVN winner and former Trophy Boy and presenter, it’s a full-circle moment. “Celebrating gay porn, especially right now in today’s climate, is really important and powerful,” he said. “I’m so excited; I’ve really wanted to do this for a while.”

Butler and his husband, Nick Butler, have won Favorite Creator Couple two years running. “It was so cool just to have our relationship honored like that, especially by the fans, because he’s the love of my life,” he said, and he made the hosts’ plan clear: “We are going to be goofy as fuck—it’s gonna be a blast.”
Hoskins, who has more than 800,000 followers on X, says he “went from doing thirsty TikToks” to the industry, and he worked the last show as a backstage interviewer. He sees the booking as a sign of where things are going: “I think that the industry is shifting to be more inclusive to non-studio creators, and I love that the GayVNs and AVNs are embracing that.”
Our read: one studio veteran plus one creator who came up on social media is a pretty clear message about who the show is for. Hoskins says the nerves are there but manageable: “We’re all gonna go for it and put on a great show.”
