In brief: Nikki Benz: On Oct. 8, Benz quote-posted a clip from the show Between Creators.
Some stars frame a mission statement and hang it in the office. Nikki Benz posted hers on X, and it would not get past a daytime TV censor.
On Oct. 8, Benz quote-posted a clip from the show Between Creators. The clip was captioned “You don’t let people tell you no!” and credited Alexis Texas and Benz, Episode 4, Season 1.
Her caption on top: “Fuck you, pay me was always the motto. It is a business after all ❗️”

The episode pairs two longtime industry names in a sit-down conversation about getting what you’re worth, and the motto fits right in. Judging by the caption, her negotiating style hasn’t mellowed.
Fans of film trivia will recognize the line. “F— you, pay me” has long been a Hollywood shorthand for making sure the check clears before the work starts. Benz didn’t invent the phrase. She just made it her own.
The exclamation emoji at the end is her own touch, too, in case anyone mistook a six-word business plan for a joke.
The bigger point lands without much effort. Performers who have stayed in the business for years tend to say the same thing in different ways: it’s a job, the job has rates, and the rates aren’t up for a vote.
For a performer who has been at this long enough to appear on a show called Between Creators, the motto reads less like attitude and more like a career summary.
Business schools charge tuition for less, and they rarely include the punctuation.
