In brief: On The Going Deeper Podcast (Oct. 6), McKenzie Mae talked about growing up on an Iowa dairy farm, running a dog-training business, AI chatbots and likeness contracts, and leaving her paychecks forgotten in her wallet; an Oct. 9 release announced her Girlfriends Films debut.

McKenzie Mae grew up on a working farm and says she understands business. She also says she sometimes forgets to collect her pay.
The performer sat down with The Going Deeper Podcast for “McKenzie Mae Going Deeper,” a 56-minute interview posted Oct. 6. Much of it covers her work in explicit detail. The rest is a fairly practical small-business story.
Not on the career-day list
She said she grew up in “a town of like 200 people” in a conservative area, where word spreads fast. She was curious about the adult industry, she said, but “It’s not something they tell you on career day that you can do.” Before the industry she “ran my own dog training company,” and an OnlyFans creator she happened to meet introduced her to the business. She called it a side gig for cash at first. A press release from her publicist says she trained police K9s, protection dogs and service dogs, started as an OnlyFans creator in 2023, and keeps two Cocker Spaniels, a German Shepherd and an English Lop rabbit.
“I grew up on a dairy farm in Iowa,” she said. Her mom ran her own business, her sister runs one, and her dad has a family farm. Farmers can look rich on paper, she explained, but the money is tied up in land and machinery: “So, technically, you’re rich, but you’re rich in assets.” That’s why she now splurges on vacations:
I can hire a dog sitter for my dogs. We can’t hire a cow sitter for hundreds of cattle.
AI, and reading the fine print
Asked about AI, she said she isn’t technical enough for a firm opinion. On whether it has been cutting down work in the industry, though: “100%.” She said she runs her pages herself and worries about creators using AI chatbots: “how do my fans know now if I’m one of those users that’s using an AI chatbot?” She said she has used AI to edit her own photos so they’re safe for work. What worries performers, she said, is losing control of their likeness: “They’re scared of taking the image away.” The episode’s advice to new performers: “read your contracts.”
The forgotten checks
Asked what makes her say yes to a booking, she said the type of scene comes first and money has “never really been an issue.” Then she remembered:
I don’t care about the money because I’ve left set before without my check.
Other times, she said, she takes the check home, forgets about it and finds it about a week later when it falls out of her wallet as she pays for something: “oh my gosh free money.” She was looking into investments and real estate, she said, so the money can “passively grow on its own.” Presumably after she cashes it.
The release, dated Oct. 9, says she makes her Girlfriends Films debut opposite Laura Bentley in “Lesbian Seductions #83.” Her quote in it: “Girlfriends Films is a studio I’ve been waiting a long time to check off my list.”
Her background and business claims come from her own account and her publicist’s release; we haven’t independently confirmed them. Her AI worries come as OnlyFans’ new terms, effective Nov. 1, require labels on AI-generated or AI-altered content, and as AI startups pitch custom AI models built from a few sample images.
Her long-term plan is a hobby farm with a few ducks and pigs, not the production dairy she grew up on. “By the time I’m 30, I would love a mini Highland cow,” she said. No word yet on whether the cow will need a sitter.
